I Think I Was Charged Unexpectedly

How to check a charge you don't recognize, see when your membership renews, and stop future charges.

If you see a charge from Grouped that you don't recognize, the steps below will help you figure out where it came from and what to do next.

What the charge might be for

  • Your membership renewed. Paid memberships renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.

  • Your free trial ended. If you joined with a free trial, your first payment happens when the trial ends. While you're in a trial, the artist's channel page shows how many days you have left next to the channel name.

  • You accepted an extension offer. If you started to cancel and accepted a free extension from the artist, your membership stayed active. It renews at the end of the extension unless you cancel.

  • You upgraded your tier. Upgrades are charged right away, prorated for the rest of your billing cycle.

  • You're a member of more than one channel. Each paid membership is billed separately.

  • You have a second account. If you signed up more than once, for example with Sign in with Apple and with your email, you may be paying on both. See I Think I Have Two Accounts.

Check your renewal date and charges

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Subscriptions from the dropdown.

  3. Look for Next payment on each membership to see when it renews.

  4. Click a membership to expand it and see its Billing History.

Stop future charges

To stop a membership from renewing:

  1. Go to the Grouped website and log in.

  2. Click your profile picture and select Subscriptions.

  3. Click Cancel on the membership and follow the steps.

You'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

⚠️ Heads up: You can only cancel on the Grouped website, not in the mobile app.

💡 Tip: If you'd rather pay less, you can switch to a lower tier before you cancel. In Subscriptions, click Change Plan on the membership.

Still don't recognize the charge?
